Report on the fundraising event of  Vietnamese community for the new Footscray Hospital on 08/11/2024 at Happy Reception Restaurant.

MISSION POSSIBLE 531,206 dollars

This is the second fundraising event at this restaurant. 420 tickets were sold out 1 month before the historic event.

If you can see on slide show, our Vietnamese group has a great honour to visit the new hospital since its building 4 years ago and we have a plan for fund raising from that time to now.

The new Footscray Hospital will be completed at the end next year 2025, and operational by the end of the next year at a cost of $1.5 billion with support from the Victorian Government. This is a modern hospital   and the largest health infrastructure investment in the state. The Western Health Foundation   has been working with the Venerable Thich Phuoc Tan and the Vietnamese community to fundraise for the new Footscray Hospital.

Located on the corner of Geelong and Ballarat Roads, the new Footscray Hospital will support the increasing demand from Melbourne’s booming western suburbs,

 Building a bigger and better Footscray Hospital will cut wait times and reduce pressure on nearby hospitals., with total 500 beds  the new hospital will treat approximately  around 20,000  people to be seen by the emergency department each year.

 . In the past, the Vietnamese community has successfully mobilized the community 's contributions  such as raising funds for Sunshine Hospital $300,000 for Joan Kirner Hospital $300,000  then prepared masks for Western Victoria $200,000 during the Covid 19 pandemic,

Today we have 2nd fund raising for the New Foostcray hospital , we got 1 fundraiser of Vietnamese community of Victoria 2 months ago

Over the past 2 months of this campaign, the total amount of donations has increased day by day from $270,000 to $370,000 before the event and has now reached over half a million dollars, of which Mission Possible has broken the record with $531,206 and will further increase the amount of online donations in the coming days through media advertising.

There are many good examples and stories  to tell, many vietnamese persons, penson- card holders, elderly persons   save money by putting in piggy bank every day then they gives donation today.

or parents offer for New Hospital under their sons or daughters names as charity property.

This is a very big campaign, the Board of Directors of Western Health Foundation Hospital  announced to the all communities, the Vietnamese community will be honored to be the pioneers in this campaign,

The federal Labor and Liberal Government  and the Victorian state Labor have given 16 million dollars to build the first Vietnamese museum in Sunshine, the first in Australia.

25 Vietnamese community members with guidance of constructing staff had the opportunity to visit the final stage of construction 2 months ago, on 12/07/2024, we witnessed the modern, huge and wonderful of building including large rooms for medical wards, Psychiatric rooms, Emergency room and all facilities for all patients in Victoria.

This is a good opportunity for Vietnamese people to demonstrate our generosity to the Australian Government and this is a great honour for our Vietnamese community.

Our ancestors said "When eating fruit, we always  remember who plant the tree, and when drinking water, we remember the source"

All honorary donors sat at the tables. The plan was performed by Venerable Thich Phuoc Tan along with representatives of Government and Hospital staff will come to the donor tables to present Gold, Silver or Bronze certificates, everyone was very happy to receive the warm and thoughtful feelings of the organizers.

To describe the excitement of welcoming spring among Melbourne compatriots at the special monasteries at Quang Minh Temple.

Spring is a symbol of better and newer changes and overcoming difficulties in the old year to achieve more beautiful and perfect things in the new year..

This Dragon Festival brings many meanings of strength, maturity and shine to all aspects of life.

Quang Minh Temple  is pleased to welcome you from 6:00 p.m. on February 9, 2024 to celebrate New Year's Eve at the 5-hectare campus surrounding the temple

With beautiful weather of 20 degrees, cool breeze, thousands of beautiful traditional costumes of colorful Vietnamese girls accompanied by handsome boys, young men and women, children, and the elderly come here seemingly in big waves overflowed onto the beach.

It is estimated that there are about 30,000 tourists interacting and visiting the pagoda on New Year's Eve and the first and second days of the Lunar New Year.

Fellow countrymen had the opportunity to enjoy lion dances, dragon dances, fireworks and firecrackers served by more than 100 volunteers.

Dong Huong came to the pagoda to welcome spring and enjoy the traditional Giap Thin Tet at Quang Minh Pagoda.

You have been  very surprised with the 9 unique small  scenes  filled with the meaning of the Tet holiday atmosphere of your hometown in a foreign land.

Giap Thin spring welcome gate welcomes guests full of luck and prosperity throughout the year.

The image of a majestic and colorful Dragon in front of a Buddha image is the highlight of the Year of the Dragon.

Images of flower boats named after southern rivers of Viet Nam , poor thatched roofs in the countryside welcoming spring in the homeland, cozy families of the past welcoming spring with old images reminiscent of childhood days cooking banh chung, traditional sewing machines, Sắc Xuân with 4 Seasons, the ancient roof of Hoi An in the central region, of Viet Nam with the old city of Saigon appearing with traditional cyclo circuses and many other meaningful miniatures welcoming you..

Thank you to all volunteers who came to enjoy the pagoda, all federal and state government officials, all the volunteers, the two youth Buddhist families who performed the performances, the security guards, and the lion dancing couple. Vovinam, maintained Gardening, office, Kitchen, business, library, ceremonies, ashram of Cưc Lạc Liên Hữu  etc. and especially the reception team day and night for 2 consecutive weeks completing 9 small beautiful scenes  under the supervision Consult Venerable Minh Tu for the magnificent and brilliant Dragon..

All of you are like swallows publicly helping  off or silently creating a group photo that creates a brilliant spring for Quang Minh Pagoda in this year's Giap Thin spring.

I wish all monks, nuns, and visitors  to enjoy a spring of happiness, peace, longevity, and all good things like Dragon wings soaring highly, sublimating to welcome a new year full of hope.
